Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for my family and friends. I think back last year at this time. Where it was just me and Bailey that was a family and now we have Justin and our little angel Hadlee. My family and friends mean everything to me. I am so blessed to have such amazing people in my life. I am thankful for our health. Something we take for granted. Please continue to pray for Briggs as he is fighting a bad infection that needs to be gone before he starts the next step which will be chemo. My heart break for them.

I love you all hope the Holidays are filled with lots of Love and Happiness!!!!!

Yeah!!

Justin will home on Wednesday. Thank goodness I have missed him and so has Bailey and Hadlee. Today we went up to Rainbow Gardens. We were walking around and this older lady came up to me and was talking to me and asking about Hadlee. She was saying how cute HE was!! What the hell SHE is rapped in a pink blanket then she goes its a boy right? I said No ha ha its a girl. Then she laughed and said oh well you just can't tell these days. :)
Then Bailey keep asking me for things and I had to keep telling her No I have no money we are on a budget. So then I hear her go up to my mom and say grandma I want to buy Justin this mug it has his name on it. It's a welcome home present. LOL my mom thinking how cute but he's only been gone two weeks but ok I'll buy it. Bailey then says Oh thank you grandma I will pay you back :)

I posted two cute pictures of Briggs. They were taken about a month ago. Brenn was at this farm taking pictures with this other little baby. Brenn is putting on a concert to raise money because this little boy is sick. The girl ended up taking some pictures of Brenn and Briggs. When I was at the hospital this weekend the girl dropped them off. The minute Sylina and Brenn looked at them they started to cry. Its hard not too. Their breath taking. They have a website that you can go on and read current updates. http://www.carepages.com/ type in briggshill lower case and no spaces.

Briggs

I went and visited little Briggers today. What a sweet and cute little boy. Its had to stop the tears from flowing once you see him lying in bed with all these tubes in him. Not being able to talk or move. Hold on to his mommy's hand and his little blanket. It's hard to understand why this happens and especially why to little ones. No word yet on the results of the tumor. No later then Monday is what they are telling them. Please keep him in your prayers. Brenn is asking if you can to please fast tomorrow. We love you Briggs.

Update on Briggs

I talked to Sylina this morning. Briggs surgery went pretty good. They got most the tumor out but had to leave a little bit of it cause it was around the brain stem. She said it is really hard for her today cause when he hears her voice he tries to cry. He is on a ventilator and can't. I ask how big the tumor is and she said when is saw it on the MRI it was about the size of your fist. So pretty massive. They will have the results of the tumor no later then Monday if there lucky she might know by Friday. When I ask what I can do for them she always replies by telling me to keep praying and not to stop. Sylina I love you and you and your family are in my prayers.

My heart is aching

My good friend Sylina called this morning to ask me to say a prayer for her little boy Briggs. They found out this morning that he has a tumor in the back of his brain. I was speechless. What can I say to comfort my friend. There are no words that can comfort you when it comes to your kids and there health. I can't imagine what she is feeling. Briggs will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. "We love our little ones, please keep them safe and healthy".

Hadlee 3 months old

Little princess is 3 months old today!!! She is getting closer and closer to carrying on a conversation with me :) she really wants to talk. So last night me, Bailey and Hadlee are down stairs in Bailey's new room. Bailey is in front of Hadlee talking to her and laughing and all of a sudden Hadlee screams out. I thought at first well that a new scream I wonder whats a matter so I look over and Hadlee is yelling at Bailey her legs are just a going ( riding a bike like Justin always says) and her arms moving she is so excited and she keep screaming. But she will only do it when Bailey laughs and keeps laughing. It was so cute. So today i tired to get her to do it again she just smiled at me like I was retarded. Bailey comes home starts talking to her starts to laugh and Hadlee yells. :) I got it on video but the video doesn't really justify how cute she sounds and after a while of her doing it she was wore out.. But its still cute.. Enjoy my cute girls.

One more thing I was going through some old cards and I came across a letter I wrote Bailey when she was 2 years old it was still sealed. So we open it and I read it to her. It just said how much I loved her and how sorry I was that me and her daddy couldn't get along but that I would try my best to give her a good life. It went on to say how happy she makes me and how proud i was to be her mom. After I read it bailey went upstairs and wrote me a letter. It was so cute it said that I was the most beautiful girl and that it was ok that I divorced her dad because she gets to be with me and I'm her favorite person :) Just typing this makes me cry. Anyways she is such a sweet girl with such a good heart. I love being a mom. It's the best thing in life!!!

Spread the Message

Dear amy,
PETA took these pig displays to grocery stores around California to get the word out about Prop 2 Let's keep the train on the tracks!
We are pleased as punch to report that—thanks to the hard work of many of you—two important ballot initiatives passed yesterday, making history for animals. California voters approved Proposition 2, which will ban some of the worst cruelty to animals raised for food in that state: keeping egg-laying chickens in battery cages so small that they can't spread their wings, keeping veal calves in crates for their entire miserable short lives, and keeping pregnant pigs in crates so small that they can't take a step forward or backward or turn around. Farmed animals in California will be given these basic necessities by 2015, but we will continue to spread the message that the best thing that people can do to help animals is to stop eating them altogether. Thank you to all the Californians who responded to our phone calls or who got involved after seeing PETA's remarkably lifelike pigs-in-stalls displays outside grocery stores. Millions of chickens, pigs, and cows will be spared horrific suffering, thanks to you.
On the other side of the country, Question 3 passed, which will ban greyhound racing in the state of Massachusetts by 2010. We have long supported the fabulous team of activists there and thank all of you who have worked so tirelessly to see this victory become a reality. Dogs who are used for racing typically spend 20 hours per day confined to cages measuring only 32 in. by 42 in. by 34 in. Many of the dogs can't even stand completely upright. The animals are also highly susceptible to injuries, including fractures, dislocations, lacerations, and amputations. And because injured dogs are no longer of use to the industry, they are often simply killed.
The impact of both these important initiatives is tremendous for the millions of animals whose lives will be affected by them. Our heartfelt thanks go out to each and every one of you who worked toward their passage. While you celebrate these hard-earned victories, please do something extremely important: Remember the words "One can make a difference" and commit to keeping the momentum on the animals' side by redoubling your efforts. Leaflet this weekend at KFC. Talk with more friends about buying cruelty-free products and clothing. Visit our Action Center for dozens of great ideas on how you can take action, and choose some that appeal to you.
Together, we can keep the momentum going!
Sincerely,

Ingrid E. Newkirk

Sad

My big baby moved in her new room last night. It was sad I kept looking down the hall at her old room thinking she was in there. She's all the way down stairs and it makes me sad. And now my little baby Hadlee will be moving into her own room and out of mommy and daddy's. Sad time goes by so fast. After tucking Bailey in last night she was a nervous. I told her Bentley is just right up the stairs. She looked at me and then said "Oh Yeah real nice watch dog". She's right Bentley's old, can't hear and he's in his kennel. :) Bailey is right once again!!

So I emailed a couple of friends a website that I watched and bawled over and still can't get the images out of my head. I wanted everyone to go to this website Meat.org I'm not asking everyone to become a vegetarian but just do some research on where the meat we buy actually comes from. Proposition 2 thankfully will stop the farm factories from abusing there animals. But we all know that will take time. Research so we will be healthier and our kids will be too. Plus we don't want to support these assholes that abuse these poor helpless animals for no reason at all.. Please!!!

Bailey and Hadlee's Big Day!!

We had a very exciting weekend. First Bailey got baptised on Saturday and Hadlee got blessed on Sunday. I was so touched by all the family and friends that showed up for our girls. Your love and support means so much. Thank you to all of you who came and the ones who couldn't make it thank you for messages. We are very lucky to have the family and the friends that we do. Bailey did such a good job she was so cute about it. She was excited to get in the tub of water and get dunked :) and Hadlee was very calm and enjoyed her blessing. Afterwards everyone came over and had a party for the both of them. It was nice. As I was sitting there at the church my mom grabbed my hand a put a ring on my finger. This ring was her engagement ring when she was engaged to Jim. They never ended up getting married. Jim is a dad to me. I am closer to him then my own father. Before me and Justin moved in together me and Bailey rented Jim's house in Layton for almost three years. I had a nice home me and Bailey were so luck we got to live there instead of living in a basement apartment which was where we were at before. I am still very close to him even though him and my mom are no longer together. He will always be a huge part of my life and always Bailey's Poppie and now Hadlee's too. Anyways my mom gave me this ring because they are no longer together and my mom knows how much he means to me. So she thought it would be nice for me to have and to wear. Thanks mom I love it.
Justin left for Arizona today to go and sell (not exciting). He will be gone for two weeks. So its just me and the girls. Bailey is getting her carpet for her new room on Monday and Hadlee will getting to move into her new room too. Hadlee will be sleeping in her crib soon how sad. She will be three months old on the 5th so stay tuned for some more cute pictures and hair bows :)!!!
